Strawberry Picking

 The date is Hyukjae’s idea.

They goof around together more than actually pick bushels of fresh, ripe strawberries that’ll last them until next Christmas. Instead, the couple chases each other up and down the rows of bushes in the strawberry field trying to catch the other while they swing their baskets around wildly. But soon they calm down and start to pick strawberries when the owner of the field shoots them a look.

Hyukjae and Donghae crouch together at a bush bursting with strawberries. As Hyukjae is picking strawberries, he hears munching from beside him.>

“Hey!”, he yells at Donghae. “You can’t eat those. They arent even washed, and we didnt pay for them yet!” Hyukjae takes Donghae’s basket from his hand before he can eat more. Donghae shrugs and continues eating the handful already shoved in his face, juice starting to dribble from the sides.

Hyukjae shakes his head. “You didn’t even pick the ripe ones, Donghae. These strawberries are so ugly looking.”

“You’re ugly too, but I picked you over everybody else, didnt I?” Donghae says with a sideways glance and grin. Hyukjae doesn’t know whether to punch Donghae or feel somewhat flattered.
